Riding, Results & Recruiting

I’d rather be

where the horses are

Hi, I’m Lainey. I’m a junior hunter and equitation rider, working student, and college hopeful. I ride a lot of different horses, stay busy at the barn and show grounds, and usually learn the most by getting on, figuring it out, and doing the work.

Some horses make you work harder

I like the ones that make me figure something out. Different horses have taught me to adjust faster, listen sooner, and not expect every ride to feel the same.

These rounds show the difference

I picked these because they show more than the result. Different horses, different rides, and the adjustments I had to make once I was in the ring.

I needed to get to the ring.

I built an app with my dad’s help to keep me, my horse, and my groom—aka my mom—on time. Between my own rides and my working-student responsibilities, I needed to know when things changed without checking the schedule all day.

Then my trainer, friends, and team wanted to use it too. Our whole barn has now used RingStatus for a year, including all of WEF 2026. I get the same texts and reminders they do, so when something isn’t helpful, I can change it. Now I’m working toward adding more barns for WEF 2027.

Listing my classes wasn’t enough

I wanted to know what all of it meant, so my dad and I built the Dashboard to connect the horses, rides, and results and find the patterns behind them.
